INCLUSIEF

The general Flemish education system can no longer refuse pupils with disabilities and special needs and who require extra care. The M-Decree obliges all schools to adapt to the needs of these children. Inclusive observes, in black and white, four children with different educational needs who are going to regular schools. A carefully made film, offering an intimate insight into the lives of the four children: Rosie, Sami, Irakli, and Nathan.

“Education is where we decide whether we love our children enough… not to strike from their hands the chance of undertaking something new, something unforeseen by us” – Hannah Arendt. This documentary deals with the current state of inclusive education in Flanders, Belgium, in a controlled and analytical way.”
